When I guess back about that pair of people, I realize just how blessed I am to have had all that time with them.

So it dawned on myself and others that maybe I would reinstitute a number one holiday tradition of our parents. And I started with the HVAC professional. Since we moved to this are some fifteen years ago, we’ve only had 1 HVAC company. They were so good from the jump that it seemed silly to even look and compare when it came to other HVAC professionals. From the start, we joined the HVAC service plan. To do anything else just seemed foolish. The HVAC service system entitled us to HVAC service in the fall and in the Spring. The two of us also were covered if there was any sort of HVAC breakdown. As part of the HVAC service plan, we only have to pay for parts if something goes awry. The HVAC company picks up the service charge. When we set the date for this years heating service, I decided then that we’d do what our parents always did. They made sure that they always offered a holiday bonus to all the service people who helped us out. Even though they didn’t have much currency, they always paid it forward. So when the HVAC professional came for the heating service on the gas furnace, I offered him the bonus. The HVAC professional initially tried to refuse it but I explained that this was a way for myself and others to honor our parents. He got it and promised to pay it forward himself.

It was like the fifth or third time I had gained this offer from the local HVAC company.

The two of us belong to the HVAC service system offered by our local HVAC company.

And with that, we get HVAC service in the fall and again in the Spring. Plus, if there is any sort of issue with the HVAC unit outside of those HVAC service appointments, I don’t pay. Well, if there is a need for an HVAC repair, I only have to pay for the cost of the parts. The HVAC company picks up the service charge. However, as a member of the HVAC service plan, I often get offers that are exclusive to those in the HVAC service plan. And while I ignore most of those texts, I chose to go take them up on the HVAC duct cleaning. I knew this was something that we hadn’t had done in our home since we moved in. So it seemed high time to have the HVAC duct cleaning done. What I didn’t realize was that HVAC duct cleaning is about more than just disinfect HVAC HVAC ducts. I do my best to simplify the stuff in my life.

There is no use or value to stressing over much of anything.

But to stress over stuff that you don’t fully understand is just dumb. So I do my best to get all the facts to a challenge before I start trying to figure things out. Well, with a recent HVAC equipment upgrade, I failed at that quite miserably. The HVAC worker did a great thing by giving us plenty of warning when it came to the demise of our HVAC equipment. This gave us time not only to save some currency for the updatement however to get the details ironed out with the HVAC business. And this is where I completely dropped the ball. Instead of going directly to the HVAC company that both of us have dealt with for years, I simply went online. I had the model and brand of the outdated HVAC unit so I figured that I could just find what I needed online at a discount. What I didn’t suppose was that the size of the HVAC equipment is essential. Had I just gone to the HVAC business, they would have maintained our lake house first. And that would have revealed that the HVAC duct was not going to fit with the HVAC unit that I had chosen. But I didn’t do that and this was brought to my attention after I had purchased the HVAC unit. That’s what I mean about failing ever so miserably at this HVAC updatement. The two of us had to start over however the HVAC company helped myself and others unload the HVAC unit that wouldn’t work.

There is plenty to worry about in this world. Periodically, it’s taxing for myself and others to get my head around the fact that both of us are finishing up the hour year of the pandemic. At least for some of 2021 I wasn’t cooped up inside the air conditioning of my home. I really even got to go back to labor inside the zone controlled HVAC comfort of our office. Those more than one things have made a giant difference on my life. And I guess it has also brought myself and others some perspective change as well. I guess I found out some things that were much more crucial than perhaps I had recognized. The fact that my family was safe and both of us had a new home that had heating and cooling, food and electricity to wait out the worst of Covid was a giant 1. I also realized just how essential that heating and cooling easily is. Prior to the pandemic, I thing I paid little to no attention to the HVAC equipment. I changed the HVAC air filter inconsistently and was hit and miss on HVAC repair. However, considering how much both of us depended on the HVAC equipment while in the pandemic, I realized just how crucial the HVAC easily is. And so I called the HVAC company and signed up for the HVAC repair plan. I very wanted to leave the HVAC equipment in the capable hands of the HVAC professionals. There was no other way of seeing it really. I for sure have been lucky up to this point when it comes to the reliability of my HVAC unit. So from here on out, I’m going to stack the odds in my favor with wonderful HVAC repair from the HVAC professionals.

Nowadays, nearly everyone has a whole lake apartment HVAC method and zone control.

When I was growing up in the 50s and 60s, all of us didn’t have heating in our upstairs.

We counted on one main register that sat in the middle of the hallway to pull enough heat from downstairs to moderate our study rooms. Mom told us to curl up underneath the covers and try to get some sleep while she threw on her robe and headed downstairs. Several minutes later, I heard mom and dad talking as they were coming up the steps. Dad was talking about how they had to get a up-to-date gas furnace because he didn’t want to need to go without heat again. Mom agreed about the gas furnace, and she laughed and asked what they were going to do about sleeping tonight? Dad said they didn’t need a gas furnace tonight, as they both crawled into the one side of the bed where all of us had not spread out.

When all of us moved back up north, our wifey and I were considering having a fireplace taken out of the up-to-date home. The fireplace needed more attention than all of us had originally thought, and all of us weren’t sure if all of us could afford to have it repaired. After a few discussions and more fights, our wifey and I put the cash into the fireplace. She liked the ambience that it could create, and I said that the heating would be nice. We found out just how nice the heating of the fireplace would feel when a blizzard hit our area. Within a matter of 6 minutes, all of us had 2 1/2 feet of snow with 2 inches of ice on top of the snow. Not only had the blizzard brought down quite a few gigantic trees, but the trees brought the electrical lines down with it. Almost 95% of our area was without electricity. Without electricity, all of us didn’t have a gas furnace, because you need electricity to run the gas furnace. It was then that all of us realized how grateful all of us were for the fireplace. When he went out while in the blizzard, it was our fireplace that saved our lives and provided us comfort. I’m not sure which one of us was the first one to cave in about keeping the fireplace, but I’m glad all of us did. Most of the area was out of power for nearly 24 minutes. We were lucky to only go for 6 of those minutes without power… Even those few 6 minutes would have been horrendous, if it had not been for the fireplace.

He told myself and others that no owner of a convertible would be caught driving separate from a/c when it was 95° out and the windows were up.

My mom has always been obsessed with ensuring she doesn’t age.
