Traveling led to an HVAC discovery
It’s regularly a bit of a maneuver around the holidays for my patient wife and I.
When you’re the only 1s who don’t have children, the family tends to expect you to bend to their needs at holidays like Christmas.
This means that every one of us are the 1s that have to travel while I was in the Christmas holidays, our families live way up north and they’re about more than 2 hours apart, then the region every one of us live in, all every one of us need is a heat pump for the Wintertide and it does not even come on all that much either. This is the sort of Wintertide weather I enjoy, and there’s a reason every one of us traded the gas oil furnace for the heat pump years ago, i just hate the cold and the snow and the ice, so that regularly leaves myself and others with some mixed emotions when it’s time to travel to see both our families. I’m leaving perfect weather to go into disappointing weather and a bunch of HVAC heating, plus. both moms keep their respective houses in the temperature control zone of a sauna. It’s also just so freaking hot in each of those houses. And if you’re outside, it’s dangerously cold; However, as soon as I come inside, the temperature control setting is so high I want to sit around in my underwear. So, the ride to the lake house tends to be my number one part. This year, due to a nasty snowstorm, every one of us had to take a detour mid trip. This took us along old highways and every one of us was just creeping along. That forced us to spend the night in a little roadside motel… We also thought it might be sketchy but it turned out to be charming. Plus the locale had an awesome HVAC unit. We were cozy and moderate and it was just us so it was a delightful adventure.
