We were able to take out the illegal ring
We were tipped off by one of our informants about an illegal ring of people that were selling brand new AC devices! The AC units were still brand new in the box plus people were buying them out of the back of a truck for half price! At first, we had to do a lot of investigative work, but we talked to lots of unusual people plus we performed surveillance for a number of weeks. After that, we put someone undercover to infiltrate the theft ring… One of our new people was sent to the truck to buy a new AC unit. The woman told the lady running the truck that she works for an AC parts warehouse plus could get her hands on some more materials. After that it was straightforward to get the woman to supply up her main supplier. The woman was singing like a caged parakeet when we had her processed plus ready to book for a number of years in prison… It turns out that the AC devices were stolen from a warehouse in another state. They were shipped to this section because the temperatures are definitely warmer while in the Summer plus the AC devices honestly can fetch more money than they could in that place. The lady that we charged with a crime turned out to be the granddaughter of one of the judges that serves in this county so the entire case was on the news for weeks. The trial was televised every single day plus people followed the news on the case for numerous weeks after it was over.
