It’s pressing to have good air quality at home

Plus, it saves a bunch of money and we leave the control component at a higher level and the heat pump doesn’t have to be functioning so hard

I quite honestly love this time of year. But there is a particular amount of bittersweet that goes with it to be fair about it. While I definitely enjoy the Spring and seeing renewal happen everywhere, I know what’s coming. And what’s coming is an overwhelming amount of heat during July and surrounding months. And that means a whole lot of air conditioning to deal with such a huge amount of heat and humidity. I’ve been walking from the car to the front door and have already heard a heat pump working hard. For some folks, as soon as the uneven temperatures make their way above 71, the control component is flipped over to Heating, Ventilation, and A/C cooling. I appreciate being able to wait and adjust to the heat. Plus, this time of year is just made for opening up the windows. The uneven temperatures are awesome and the air isn’t yet thick and humid. It feels amazing to have fresh air in our property. By waiting on the air conditioning equipment a bit, we allow our bodies to acclimate to the weather. This makes the real heat and humidity of the boiling season much more tolerable. Plus, it saves a bunch of money and we leave the control component at a higher level and the heat pump doesn’t have to be functioning so hard. But we do turn up the Heating, Ventilation, and A/C equipment here and there this time of year to collect some of that pollen on the HEPA filter we use for nicer air quality. While it doesn’t take but a moment every few afternoons, it’s genuinely worth it just to lower the airborne contaminants inside the property.
