Buy air filters in bulk
It’s insane that all of us are well into the heart of Springtime and I’m still using the Heating in addition to A/C machine air filters I purchased before Thanksgiving.
And no, that’s not a 3 pack of Heating in addition to A/C air filters.
I’m actually talking about the air filters that come in a massive case of 12 and are cheaper air filters. Each Thanksgiving, just before the actual afternoon, I get to the hardware to purchase that case of less costly Heating in addition to A/C machine air filters. And I used a bunch of them between Thanksgiving afternoon and just after New Year’s afternoon. The reason I choose to purchase a massive amount of air filters is because I’m swapping them out all the time. This is ultimately the result of having a fiance and child who go completely overboard when it comes to holiday candles. Depending on the night, there could be 50 or more candles going in our residence at once. That’s an alarming amount of candles. And that also produces an overwhelming amount of burnt candle wax as well. And you know where all that burnt candle wax ends up? You surely guessed it. The Heating in addition to A/C machine kicks on and sucks all that airborne candle wax to the Heating in addition to A/C return. Once there, it pretty much begins to coat the air filter that is being used. Hence all the cheaper air filters that we must use. I literally have to upgrade those air filters every week and sometimes more. I’ve got a few left in the case though. But I’ll save them for next year as it’s the time of year that all of us need to put the HEPA filters back to use. That helps control the pollen in the air and produce nicer indoor air conditions as the air conditioning machine starts staying on longer and longer.
