Best winter and cheapest heating bill by far

I don’t know what it’s like to actually feel this good about the winter we just had.

Normally by this point, I’m pretty shattered with the cold, the snow and the high costs of HVAC heating.

But then, I also really hate winter. Where I grew up, I just had to have a collection of sweaters for the winter. Up here, it’s the real deal and the gas furnace is cranking all the time. This past winter was my 6th and it was by far the best one I’ve had. Coming out of pandemic might be part of it. Still, we stuck close to the HVAC safety of home when cases were high this winter. No, I think it was simply getting a bit proactive when it came to winter preparation. That’s right, I was actually prepared this winter and it paid off big time. I’ve always called the HVAC professionals when it comes to heating maintenance. But that’s about as far as I went when it came to preparing for winter. So this year was a big change. The first thing I did was go online to the blog on my HVAC company’s website. There, I found all I needed to know when it came to preparing for winter in this region. Essentially, it’s all about sealing the house up as tight as possible. I even added a new storm door to the front door which not only improves the HVAC equipment efficiency, it looks nice too. The results of preparing for winter spoke for themselves. The house was finally warm, like cozy warm all winter. And I slashed the HVAC heating costs by 20 percent.
