Weird weather requires heating plus cooling
At this time of year, the weather is absolutely unpredictable.
After dealing with hot plus cold temperatures in the forties plus running the Heating, Ventilation plus A/C program on heating mode for various months, the outdoor conditions quickly warmed up. Both of us had a week of hot plus cold temperatures in the eighties, necessitating the switch to air conditioning. I thought the two of us were done with the freezing weather; Unfortunately, the conditions keep changing from a single day to the next. We’ll appreciate a couple of mornings of gorgeous weather with dire heat plus then various mornings of freezing plus rain. I have a packaged unit that provides both heating plus cooling capacity. Changing from heating to cooling mode is as self-explanatory as pushing a button on the control unit. However, it just seems wrong to spend money to pump freezing air into the apartment a single plus invest in heating the next. I keep trying to go without heating or cooling until the weather straightens out. Both of us are headed toward summer, plus I guess the freezing conditions won’t last, then last evening, I just about froze to death. I refused to start up the heating system. Instead, I bundled up in hot blankets. This afternoon, when I checked the control unit, I saw that the temperature in the apartment was 60 degrees. I was tired of shivering plus turned up the control unit setting. The heating program is now blasting heat from the vents. It feels appealing. I checked the weather forecast plus saw that the outside temperature will climb back up into the eighties tomorrow. I’ll open the windows plus hope for a breeze but honestly end up running the a/c. I am not looking forward to getting my monthly electric bill. Paying for both heating plus cooling is going to add up.
