The offices should really be much warmer
I really think that they should keep doctors’ offices warmer, especially the pediatricians’ offices! I mean, when I was a little kid, I would stay cold nearly all the time and it felt like it was impossible to get warm.
I remember going into my doctor’s office when I was a kid and it was freezing cold there.
Then they make you put on a paper gown and sit on a cold exam table. It’s just not cozy and it makes everything even scarier than it has to be. Anyway, I feel like it’s just the same way today. The doctor’s office is always really cold and I don’t know if it has to do with the fact that being cold helps them to keep the germs under control. Maybe if the heating was on more, it would make people get sick more often. I don’t know why they do it, but I really hate it. The other day when I had to go to the doctor, he reminded me of when I was a kid. The lobby was freezing cold, and the exam was no better. It felt like they actually had the air conditioning on inside of the office, even though it is the middle of the winter. I think the temperature inside of the exam room was probably 60 degrees. I know that the nursing staff does not think that it’s all that great either, because the lady who came in to take my blood pressure had her winter coat on. I think it’s ridiculous. Doctors’ offices should be much warmer. I think I am going to put that in my survey whenever I get it. They need to crank up the thermostat a little bit!
