Eventually adjusting over to ductless Heating as well as Air Conditioning

It should save us quite a bit of energy

Someday I hope to update my Heating as well as Air Conditioning situation. My wife & I rely on a central Heating as well as Air Conditioning plan. It is forced air that travels through HVAC duct to make the lake house one temperature. I am not too thrilled with the fact that every room is the same temperature. My wife & I don’t share a room because we don’t prefer the same temperatures. She always wants AC & I want heating. At evening it is a fight on what the temperature control is set to. Also, we have a spare study room, laundry room & lavatory that hardly get used. Why are we paying to heat & cool these rooms? I also don’t prefer that the indoor air handler takes up so much space in the hallway closet. If I could remove it, I could use that closet to store coats, shoes & hats. I could even expand my study room closet into that section if I wanted to. It makes sense for our household to operate on a ductless Heating as well as Air Conditioning system. When our new Heating as well as Air Conditioning dies, we are doing ductless mini splits. The two of us will have wall mounted indoor air handlers & temperature controls in each room of the house. That way the lake house is zone control capable. I can have heating at evening while my wife has AC. I can turn on the cooling method when I cook & not worry about cooling unused spaces. It should save us quite a bit of energy. The wall mounted units mean no more giant indoor units either. I now have a freed up closet. It will be expensive to update, however I will prefer it.
