Being an teacher at a college where they teach Heating, Ventilation, & A/C certification courses, I have seen a lot of things.
Some of our students have no trouble doing the labor & going on to being terrific Heating, Ventilation, & A/C specialists. There are some students that no matter what they do, they just can’t get the hang of the task. I had 1 young man who had me holding our breath in an attempt not to laugh at him. Every one of us were in class with some outdated a/c units & oil furnaces that had been deliberately sabotaged. The future Heating, Ventilation, & A/C techs had to go to the furnace & the a/c unit in teams, & find everything that was wrong with the Heating, Ventilation, & A/C equipment. One team had every spot that was sabotaged, but it took them nearly an minute. Another team quit after an minute & they hadn’t found a single 1 of the sabotaged parts. Then the fifth team got up to the Heating, Ventilation, & A/C equipment. They were suddenly figuring out what our team of teachers had done to the furnace & a/c unit. The funny area came when 1 of the team members got overly distraught & dropped his screwdriver into the A/C unit. His embarrassment was quite funny, & some of his classmates couldn’t hold back their laughter however I had to. Fortunately for me, when I got home, I was able to laugh at him all I wanted. It was so much fun seeing our son flounder when he lost that screwdriver. He’s going to make a relaxing Heating, Ventilation, & A/C specialist 1 morning, but he needs to learn to take his time.
