Temperature honestly affects my workouts.
I do a tumbling based workout everyday plus the heat or chill honestly can wreck it.
If I am too cold my muscles know stiff. I have a taxing time warming up to the point where I can do ariels, tucks plus walkovers. I usually end up hurting myself by stretching too far. Also, bouncing around plus landing on cold feet plus hands doesn’t know good. I would way rather tumble in the Winter without heating than in the Summer with no cooling. Heat is way worse for a gymnast. The heat makes myself and others know fatigued plus sluggish. I just can’t seem to get myself motivated. I honestly want to sit on the mat plus just stretch for an hour. Because I am so warm, it is honestly easy to get a wonderful stretch in. However, I leave wet spots on the mat that are easy to slip in. I also have problems with my landings plus starts for my tricks. It is easy for a foot to slip, hand to shift plus have my whole body tumble down. I then mentally freak out plus don’t do the trick as well. A little ACE in the Summer honestly does go a long way. That is why in my outdoor shed that I tumble in, I have a ductless mini split. I can have heating in the Winter plus A/C in the summer. I also have a smart temperature control set up to turn on the Heating plus Air Conditioning component an hour before I work out. I walk into a perfectly climate controlled building. I never go without that ideal temperature.
