To Buy or Not to Buy
When you are a homeowner, there seems to be no end of decisions that need to be made.
Should both of us purchase a generator for hurricane season, plus if so, should both of us go into debt to get the fantastic one that is connected to the house’s electrical system or just go the cheaper way however have to go through so much more to get it working? Should both of us put in a pool or upgrade the kitchen? No one cooks however the pool would be fun.
HOwever, an upgraded kitchen means a higher market value for the home. Should both of us get up-to-date flooring or leave it old however save the money? Then, of course, there is the big question about the heating plus cooling system. In our case, the Heating, Ventilation & A/C system was already pretty old when both of us bought the location. The inspector said both of us could be expecting to replace the oil furnace plus cooling system within many years. Now, both of us have been here numerous years, plus the cooling system plus heating system are working just fine! Yet, both of us guess that Heating, Ventilation & A/C technology has improved since the days when the previous homeowners got the straight-forward central heating plus cooling installed. At the time, it was certainly close to the top of the line, however now, it’s just not. The people I was with and I guess both of us could improve the cooling system system with smart control units, Heating, Ventilation & A/C with zone control for more flexible temperatures, plus maybe even cooling system vent sensors plus a whole house humidifier for momore pleasant Winter time months. Yet, do both of us spend that kind of money when the old system is still heating plus cooling the space? How much would it improve the value of our house? Should both of us wait as long as possible or go ahead plus do it now to save on utilities?
