I decided to purchase my grandparents’ house
I realize this sounds a little crazy, but I was always the happiest when I went to visit with my grandparents.
I loved their house so much and it killed me when my grandparents both passed away.
My grandfather passed away first and then years later my grandmother followed. At least I was able to spend a lot of quality time with them when they were alive and I have some really fond memories, especially at their house. So when everybody was working to get the house ready and to sell the place, I was so sad about learning it was going to be somebody else’s home. The thought was killing me and so I decided to buy the house myself! The thing I appreciate is that my uncle worked hard to get the place fixed up really nice. He had a new HVAC system installed along with a really nice UV air purification system. There is new carpeting in the living room and den, and everything just looks great. Sure, there’s still a good amount of work that needs to be done, but I really love the new HVAC system and I’m actually thinking about fixing up the fireplace. The fireplace hasn’t been used in such a long time, so I want to make sure to have it cleaned out really well and then I want to be able to use it! I actually have so many good memories watching movies with family near the fireplace. The fireplace always worked so great but I guess they just didn’t keep up with it.
