It took two years but the two of us finally saved enough for a current Heating and A/C system.

My hubby and I have a limited income and not so great credit but the two of us were blessed enough to have the option to purchase a fixer upper that won’t take too long to spend money off, however unblessedly, the central cooling system doesn’t work… So, our hubby and I cooked a few window cooling systems in a few windows and the two of us now deal with that, but both of us live in a subtropical area with very mild winters and space furnaces are satisfactory.

Now the two of us are saving up cash for a current central Heating and A/C unit. Both of us know it is going to be expensive because a good, energy efficient Heating and A/C proposal is costly, as is paying for installation, and I’m pretty sure that the two of us need all current ductwork, but this arena is pretty old. So, a neighbor requested that the two of us reduce our energy bills by turning off the cooling systems. He claimed he split his power bill in half by not using his cooling system. To me, that’s crazy… I will live off Ramen Noodles before I will go without air conditioner. I knew that there had to be other ways to split costs. Both of us kept the window cooling systems on, but the two of us turned them up several degrees. I could settle for that. Both of us invested in fans and kept the house opened up in Springtime and fall. I found that I could deal with that too. Both of us took other small steps, love using a clothesline and buying in bulk, and the two of us did eat a lot more Ramen Noodles. It took us almost two years but within the next month or so, the two of us will have the cash for a brand current energy efficient Heating and A/C system
