Contemplating a HEPA air filter upgrade

Most people have heard the expression, “Dog days of Summer”; This refers to those hot lazy days when even the pet doesn’t have the motivation to get off the porch and the hot air is heavy with humidity as well.

Well, with increasing weather conditions it is becoming more usual in the south to experience the “Dog days” of spring as well.

The temperatures where our sister lives can reach well into the upper eighties as early as early May so she depends more plus more on her air conditioner to keep her condo cool plus dry. She is always saying that there are only 2 seasons where she lives, summer and winter.. They actually only experience colder temperatures for a short time, but then they are right back to hot and humid days! For this reason she makes sure to have the best a/c she can at her home. It seems as if every few years she is upgrading or replacing something on her a/c to improve its performance or energy saving capabilities. I can’t say as I blame her I do the same with our gas furnace up here in the north. At any rate, our sister told me that this year that she added a new air filter to the plan that is supposed to trap even minute particles from the condo and it really sounds great. It utilizes a HEPA filter that can be cleaned instead of updated all the time plus that will save her money too. I told my other half about it so he is going to look into one for our home too. If I no longer have to keep a box of filters in the basement plus worry about ordering them from our heating and A/C dealer that would be great. One less thing to worry about would be great.
