Grateful that the HVAC shop was close to our farm house
My wife insisted on moving from the city to the home we recently bought in the countryside. While there was no problem with this since we both worked remotely, I was not so sure about making such a big move. Having lived in the city all my life, I loved the conveniences that came with modern city living. Everything was a bike ride away and I could walk into a mall and get everything I needed. From what I had read about country life living, things were quite different. There was a possibility of struggling to get the basic services and even not finding some things at all. However, since I loved my wife and wanted to make her happy, I was willing to make this compromise just for her. We moved just before summer so that we would settle in with much ease. We were excited about starting a small garden and supplying fresh organic foods to the local market and the city sometimes. However, we first needed to get the right air conditioner for our wooden cabin. We had this built from scratch and preferred the aesthetics of a cabin. The only thing that the building contractor had not done was install a heating and cooling unit because we wanted to do this ourselves. Our previous experience with building contractors installing the HVAC unit wasn’t a pleasant one and we were not about to risk it this time. Surprisingly, and unlike what I had heard and feared, there were plenty of HVAC companies to choose from here. We did our research and settled for the HVAC business closest to our home as this made more sense. I still get surprised at how easy that was three years down the line.
