Improving my sleep by changing my eating habits and installing an air purifier

Last night I read an article in the newspaper about how to eat in order to support better sleep.

It recommended certain foods that are high in melatonin, including tart cherries, oily fish, nuts, milk, and eggs.

It is also recommended not to consume caffeinated products after 2 p.m., to eat the last meal 2-3 hours before hitting the sack and to eat mindfully and without distractions. I do none of these things; I tend to overeat at night, most of the time just before bed. I always drink a cup of black tea after lunch at the HVAC company at around 4 p.m., and I frequently eat quickly without paying too much attention. However, I will try to use the information I have gathered from this article in order to improve my sleeping patterns and be more productive when doing my HVAC tech work. Last night, after reading this, I had a light supper in the train with climate control at least two hours before bed, and this morning I woke up feeling more rested and refreshed than I have in a long time. I got up at 11.30 a.m., in fact, and felt like I had just been born again. I need to call the heating and cooling company for them to come and fix the air conditioner unit, and I also need to do my writing before my partner comes at 14.00 p.m. and I don’t have much time. But I don’t care because I’m happy that I finally got some good sleep. The new air purifier that I have installed is also supporting my sleep by improving the indoor air quality in my bedroom.
