I put a ductless mini split in my guest room for my parents
I have a guest study room that rarely gets used.
I genuinely do not have a lot of guests to stay at my cabin for longer than a day or two at a time, then and usually when I do, it’s a close neighbor that just wants to sleep on the couch.
The only people that end up using my guest study room or my parents. But now that my parents can’t visit my sister and my brother-in-law for at least another year, they have been making excuses to visit my cabin as much as possible. I live near the beach and they sort of use my cabin as a crash pad when they want to spend a week lounging by the water. They are kind of demanding too while they’re over here. I am not so sure why I got out of my way to be so accommodating when they aren’t particularly kind about being my guests. I got so sick of hearing them complain about the air conditioner in the cabin not being cold enough that I bought a ductless mini split for the guest room. I do not want to run the A/C in the entire cabin as low as they want it to, not only does it cost a lot of currency but it’s also hard on the air conditioner itself, with a ductless mini split in the guest room, they can set the A/C temperature in that room to whatever they want it to be. That way they can be cold and I will not sustain disfigurement to my central air conditioner. Thankfully they adore me putting a ductless mini split inside of the guest room.
