I put a ductless mini split in my guest room for my parents
I have a guest kitchen that rarely gets used. I sincerely don’t have a lot of guests to stay at my house for longer than a morning or two at a time, however and usually when I do, it’s a close friend that just wants to sleep on the couch. The only people that end up using my guest kitchen or my parents. But now that my parents cannot visit my brother plus my sibling-in-law for at least another year, they’ve been making excuses to visit my house as much as possible. I live near the beach plus they sort of use my house as a crash pad when they want to spend a week lounging by the water. They are kind of demanding too while they’re over here. I’m not so sure why I got out of my way to be so accommodating when they aren’t identifiably kind about being my guests. I got so sick of hearing them complain about the a/c in the house not being cold enough that I purchased a ductless mini split for the guest room. I don’t want to run the A/C in the entire house as low as they want it to, not only does it cost a lot of money but it’s also tough on the a/c itself, however with a ductless mini split in the guest room, they can set the A/C temperature in that room to whatever they want it to be. That way they can be cold plus I will not sustain damage to my central a/c. Thankfully they adore me putting a ductless mini split inside of the guest room.
