I put a ductless mini split in my guest room for my parents
I have a guest living room that rarely gets used.
I particularly don’t have a lot of guests to stay at my house for longer than a afternoon or two at a time.
And usually when I do, it’s a close friend that just wants to sleep on the couch. The only people that end up using my guest living room or my parents. But now that my parents can’t visit my sibling in addition to my sister-in-law for at least another year, they’ve been making excuses to visit my house as much as possible. I live near the beach in addition to they sort of use my house as a crash pad when they want to spend a week lounging by the water. They are kind of demanding too while they’re over here. I am not so sure why I got out of my way to be so accommodating when they are not particularally kind about being my guests. I got so sick of hearing them complain about the A/C in the house not being cold enough that I obtained a ductless mini split for the guest room. I don’t want to run the AC in the entire house as low as they want it to, not only does it cost a lot of currency but it’s also tough on the a/c itself, with a ductless mini split in the guest room, they can set the AC temperature in that room to whatever they want it to be. That way they can be cold in addition to I won’t sustain detriment to my central a/c. Thankfully they love me putting a ductless mini split inside of the guest room.
