I’ve always loved working in our offices, and I never imagined the view would change.
I was thrilled to have a great view from my office when I started working for my new employer with my friend.
We were able to see most of the city because my friend and I are on the 15th floor. Our boss stated that the view was there to motivate us, and she was correct. However, my friend and I were shocked to learn that the building next door was being demolished when we woke up one morning. Why that was bad news is a good question. I’ll explain why now. We would soon have to bid farewell to our magnificent view of the city as they built a large skyscraper nearby. My friend and I watched as the new structure slowly rose before saying goodbye to our view. I noticed they had arrived at the roofing phase of the project when I was the only person in the office one day. Next door, a significant commercial roofing project was underway, and roofing contractors were working on it. I had never witnessed a commercial roofing crew in action, so it was fascinating to watch. The summer before, I had a residential roofing company repair my roof at my house. I needed them to handle shingle roof repair because I have shingle roofing. This came after a powerful storm with strong winds passed through the area while my friend and I were there. The only way to avoid replacing the roof was to repair the shingle roof. However, it was much more enjoyable to observe a commercial roofing project.
