When I met my husband, I had to decide if I wanted to live on base and stay near to him, or travel. There was no choice there. I wanted to be with my soon-to-be husband. Now, we are married and own a home. After only two years in the house, we were told we needed a new HVAC duct. We looked into the price of HVAC ducts. I could not believe how much the HVAC duct costs. Even if I bought the flex pipe, I would still be paying an arm and a leg. We had been talking about installing ductless heating and cooling when the heating and cooling system died, however now we are discussing the present. The cost of HVAC duct would be almost as much as ductless heating and cooling. My husband told me it was my choice. I had to decide on a new HVAC duct or ductless heating and cooling. He said I was in the home more than he was, and it should be my choice. Although we talked about getting a new HVAC duct because our heating and cooling system was only five years old, it seemed like we were leaning toward the heating and cooling system. When the heating and cooling professional told us they could prorate the heating and cooling system and take that cost off the new ductless system, it was an easy choice.
