Using a fireplace during the winter months
I hadn’t taken good care of my heating system prior to that and so I can imagine that was probably why it was breaking down on me.
When you live in a cold climate like I do it’s obviously very important to keep warm during the cold winter months. I have been down that road before where it has been freezing outside and I haven’t had access to heat and I have to tell you that it is one of the worst feelings in the world apart from being without air conditioning in the summer. If there’s one thing that I have learned to say you don’t want to be without any heating or cooling. HVAC technology has a far greater impact on your quality of life than you might realize. In this modern age, most people couldn’t imagine living without heating and AC for a day, never mind for several weeks. However a couple years ago this situation was exactly what happened to me, I had my heating system break down on me right in the middle of the winter. I hadn’t taken good care of my heating system prior to that and so I can imagine that was probably why it was breaking down on me. Well anyways, I didn’t have the money to immediately pay for the cost of the repair and since it was cold in the house it wasn’t life-threatening levels of cold, I wasn’t able to get it repaired for a full 3 weeks. That was how long it took me to be able to get the money to have my heating system repaired. When I finally did get it repaired, having a working heating system felt like having the heating system working for the first time all over again. It was such an amazing feeling that I hope I never have to go without.
