The repairman job was rough
For 10 years I was laboring as a repairman at a local HVAC business, however i enjoyed laboring as a repairman… Most of the time I diagnosed maintenance and tune-up services.
Maintenance and tune-up services are a fantastic way to find out if there are any problems with your heating or Cooling equipment, then at the HVAC company where I was laboring previously, both of us gave a 15 point in depth inspection of the heating and cooling system, then every one of us gave a report and proposed any necessary repairs.
Every once in a while I diagnosed an replacement job. Most of the time my boss handled the replacement job so I rarely had anything that was challenging, then working as a repairman was too boring for me. When I had the opportunity to transfer to a commercial HVAC business, I took the opportunity. It’s a lot busier at the commercial and residential HVAC business, however the business handles a variety of different repairs and replacement jobs and some of those jobs take several afternoons to complete. I have been with the business for a year and I have already had a lot more fun than I did in the last 5 years laboring for the other business. I think more challenged and I am learning a lot more now that I am laboring with different types of commercial heating and cooling equipment. I recently helped install a giant boiler and that was my first time even laboring with boilers. It’s nice to think challenged. It particularly makes the job a lot more fun when every day is different.
