My sister needs an HVAC system in her garage
Since she is going to be turning her garage into some extra living space, my sister is going to need an HVAC system in her garage.
- Whenever they moved into the house where they are living now, there was no HVAC system in the garage.
As a matter of fact, there was not even any ventilation ductwork in the garage at all. After all, no one ever thought that they would be trying to put extra living space into the garage later on. I think that my sister and her husband probably would have built onto their house instead of using the garage if it had been allowed. Their homeowner’s association doesn’t allow any extra square footage to be built on the outside of the house to make the home’s footprint larger. Anyway, they decided that they wanted to put on this extra living space and so they are going to need heating and cooling out there, for sure. They don’t think that they will ever want to spend any time out there if there is no heating and cooling because we have such drastic weather around here where we live. Right now, the garage is freezing and there is no way that anyone could last out there for more than a few minutes. Having a heating and cooling system of some sort is a definite must for them. I think they should install a ductless mini split HVAC unit but they still don’t know what they are going to do. My sister thinks that she would rather run ductwork from the existing HVAC system.
