The castle had no method of heat
I had constantly wanted to go to Ireland, where my ancestors came from, but after every one of us retired, my partner plus I finally got to take the trip of my dreams, but the people I was with and I had made plans to stay in an outdated castle that had been converted into an Air BNB.
The castle had no formal gas furnace, however there were fireplaces in every room, but every day, someone would come into the rooms plus kneel fresh wood in the fireplace to keep the heat in the room.
They would give more wood to the rooms throughout the day… Occasionally it got cold, plus no one however the guests seemed to notice. The people I was with and I were told that being raised in the castle meant that pretty much everyone was used to the drafts. I could only imagine what it was care about living in the castles in the olden mornings. It must have been strenuous to keep overheated since most of the turrets didn’t have glass at the windows. I was walking through the castle one afternoon, plus had gotten turned around. I heard an odd noise coming from the hallway plus realized there were air vents in the walls. There was heat coming from the air vents, plus I got more curious. I asked one person I passed in the hall where the furnace was situated. She told myself and others there were several gas furnaces in the castle. One was in a centralized furnace room on each floor. So much for the castle having no formal gas furnace. The fireplaces were only for the guests. The people I was with and I were paying for the castle experience, while pretty much everyone else had new gas furnaces to keep them warm.
