The repair technician was sick yesterday

A couple of years ago, my wife and I decided to start a business of our own.

I was working for a commercial and residential heating and AC repair and installation business.

I was earning decent money, but I knew that I was never going anywhere unless I started my own company. My wife was very supportive of my dreams. She helped the two of us save money for a year so we could finally get started. I still have a very small heating and AC repair business with only five employees. I stay small so that I can provide excellent customer service to each and every one of my commercial and residential clients. Some of those bigger businesses lose sight of customer service and that’s how you end up losing your business. One of my repair technicians got sick yesterday and I had to work in the field for the first time in a while. I had three repairs on the schedule for the young technician. I knew that he was really sick, because he came to work the previous day. He didn’t want to miss out on any of the overtime hours that he was scheduled for this week. Unfortunately, he was even more sick the next day and could not work. After the first of the three repairs on the schedule, I had to take a break and go home. I thought I would be done with the three repairs by 3:00 p.m. and home for the day, but I forgot how much some of these AC repairs can take. It was a humbling experience.
