We had to do something about the leaking roof
Having a roof that leaks can be a challenge in your home, and a leaking roof can cause a number of major problems.
If the roof leaks, then water is going into the Attic or into your residence.
Water causes mold and mildew damage. It causes wood and furniture to warp. A leaky roof is not the style of issue that you can simply let go until another day. Last year my fiance and I were at the residence all day and it was storming badly outside. We were enjoying TV in the family room when I felt a drop of water on my arm. I looked up and I saw what seemed to be a small hole in the ceiling above the sofa. The whole was getting larger and so were the drops of water. I knew this horrible issue had to be a leak in the roof. Regrettably, it was raining super hard with lots of thunder and lightning and it was not feasible to go out on the roof to check on the problem until the storm was completely over. It continued to rain for the course of the night. I did not truly want to go to sleep when the roof was leaking in such a way. What if something awful happened in the middle of the night? My fiance and I made the choice to go outside to look at the roof, and even though it was pretty dark, we had a nice flashlight and ladder. I climbed the ladder all the way to the roof and I walked over to the spot above where the family room roof seemed to be leaking like crazy. We used a sizable orange tarp and some straps to secure the roof until reaching out to a roofing business.
