I shouldn’t have skipped the HVAC inspection
I have been told by the news media that the economy is doing well, however that is not my experience as of late.
My pay has not gone up in a unquestionably long time, & in fact instead of getting a raise the last 2 years I have been told that I’m blessed to have a job at all… At the same time, inflation has never been worse in my lifetime! The price of everything keeps going up, however my pay stays the same; When I had to start cutting things out of my budget, the annual HVAC inspection was one of the first things to go. That proved to be a mistake, because when something went sideways, I realized just how much I rely on air conditioning. The summer time heat in this section of the country is cruel & unusual, & for about many or 6 months per year I have to keep my air conditioning running at all times. That is not an exaggeration, at many in the day the will still click on, because it is still that sizzling outside! Since the HVAC plan had been running fantastic since last year, I decided to pass on the annual inspection. That saved me $150, however wound up costing me many hundred dollars when my cooling system needed emergency repairs! I am kicking myself for skipping that HVAC inspection, even though I know there is nothing I can do about it now. Next year I will be sure to get my plan worked on before the summer time hits.
