It’s the double whammy of our year and it is miserable no matter what I do. But this year, thanks to the HVAC professionals, our apartment has been a total flu symptom free zone. This is thanks to adding a whole apartment air cleaner to the HVAC unit. This category of air cleaner is strange from those that trap and detach airborne contaminants. Those generally stand in a room and have a filter that has to be cleaned. Our whole apartment air cleaner uses intense UV light to easily destroy the DNA of all airborne contaminants. That means when the HVAC device is running, it’s zapping every bit of pollen and pet dander particulate and I’m free. Literally, that’s what it feels like. I’m just free to breathe and not be pulled down or made miserable by our flu symptoms.
