I wanted to go home after the accident and three hour delay
My boyfriend and I decided to go to the beach on Saturday. We woke up and made the decision, so we weren’t ready to go. We had to go to the grocery store and the Supercenter. We had to buy items for lunch as well as drinks and snacks. We also needed sunscreen and a new beach umbrella. By the time we finally got to the beach, it was after two and the place was packed. I told my boyfriend to go to the parking lot on 5th Street. I thought there might be some spaces there. It was just as crowded as the other parking spots on the beach. I was trying to tell my boyfriend to go to a different spot when a car started to back out of a parking spot. My boyfriend didn’t see the guy backing up and he ran his truck into the side of our car. The engine shut off as soon as we were hit and the airbags deployed. My boyfriend could not get the engine to turn on again. We didn’t have any air conditioning while the car was off. We were sitting in the middle of traffic for nearly three hours. When the tow truck finally arrived, he informed us that he did not have room for us to ride in the tow truck. We had to call a cab. I wanted to go home after the accident and delay. I didn’t want to stay at the beach any longer. My boyfriend was aggravated that I wanted to leave, after I was the person that suggested going to the beach. After spending three hours in the hot sun with no air conditioning, all I wanted to do was go home and lay down.
