Glad I went with ductless in the family room
He recommended a ductless mini split for our case.
For a long time I just had a chilly family room. I started out with a pellet stove which was a terrible source of heating. I then changed over to setting a space gas furnace on the family room table. I hated that our adolescents were eating their cereal around a sizable gas furnace. I finally told our spouse that both of us were going to have something better. I then installed a ventless gas furnace in our family room. It did the job much better than anything else. The snag was that the gas furnace wasn’t too sizable and the family room let in a lot of chilly air. There are a lot of windows and the brick gets chilly in the wintertime. The ventless gas furnace also had this aggravating habit of blowing icy chilly air when it wasn’t providing heating. It frequently would get clogged up with dust and I would use the air compressor to blow it out. It was a messy, dirty project when that came up. It didn’t honestly help matters that much either. Now I have a bit more currency and I got dire about our heating situation. I absolutely called a Heating and A/C professional and busy an appointment. He recommended a ductless mini split for our case. I now have a ductless gas furnace mounted on the wall by our ceiling. I freed up space for more lower cabinets and the mini split is quite attractive! Best of all it heats our whole family room up separate from a hitch. I even have the ability to provide the family room cooling in the summertime if I so choose. I wish I would have gotten this plan years ago.
