Glad I went with ductless in the living room
For a long time I just had a freezing living room.
I started out with a pellet stove which was a poor source of heating. I then changed over to setting a space heating system on the living room table. I hated that my youngsters were eating their cereal around a large oil furnace. I finally told my husband that both of us were going to have something better. I then installed a ventless heating system in our living room. It did the task much better than anything else. The snag was that the heating system wasn’t too big & the living room let in a lot of freezing air. There are a lot of windows & the brick gets freezing in the wintertime. The ventless heating system also had this frustrating habit of blowing icy freezing air when it wasn’t providing heating. It frequently would get jammed up with dust & I would use the air compressor to blow it out. It was a messy, dirty project when that came up. It didn’t entirely help matters that much either. Now I have a bit more money & I got drastic about my heating situation. I entirely called a Heating & A/C professional & tied up an appointment. He suggested a ductless mini split for my case. I now have a ductless heating system mounted on the wall by my ceiling. I freed up space for more lower cabinets & the mini split is quite appealing; Best of all it heats my whole living room up without a hitch. I even have the ability to provide the living room cooling in the summertime if I so choose. I wish I would have gotten this plan years ago.
