Updating the some HVAC technology at home
Wouldn’t you know it, just after I figured out how to program the digital thermostat, we get a smart thermostat.
We must have had that digital thermostat for ages before I finally decided to figure out how to program it. I was so sick of getting robbed when the summer came that I figured out how to set the thermostat up. We live in a region where the big HVAC issue is the HVAC cooling. And the four months of summer or heat season can be brutally hot. That results in some really through the roof costs if you aren’t adjusting the thermostat throughout the day. I was sick of paying for HVAC cooling we weren’t really using so I finally got ahold of our HVAC cooling costs with the thermostat deal. And it made a whale of a difference. Just what I did with the thermostat saved us more than 15 percent over the year before on air conditioning costs. Then, my wife decides to buy a smart thermostat. This was a unilateral decision after I was a bit resistant to spending the money on this sort of HVAC technology. I just didn’t really see the need. But she did and of course, she was right on the money once again. The smart thermostat is absolutely great and I love it. We don’t have to do a thing at all but just enjoy the HVAC cooling comfort. The smart thermostat has learned our patterns and adjusts the setting accordingly. On top of that, the smart thermostat also saved us nearly an additional 15 percent on what I saved last year.
