It is superb to see representation in the roofing industry
I work for a medium-sized construction corporation… At our highest, every one of us had around 600 employees on board! This was a few years ago when construction was booming but now because of the pandemic every one of us have scaled down our crew a lot.
Things are getting better now so every one of us are ramping up again in addition to every one of us have a few major projects that every one of us are executing right now, but one of which is a modern residential subdivision that every one of us are building here in town, and i work in the office, but once in a while, I get to visit our local task sites.
I prefer seeing the sites prior to construction in addition to then seeing the finished project. Last week, I had to drop off some drawings to 1 of our Superintendents that he left in our office by mistake, however while on the tasksite I saw a woman who was wearing her full PPE in addition to was sitting next to a truck that had a roofing company branded on it. I found out that she is the licensed roofing company for this project, in addition to that made me assume good to see women being represented in the roofing business. That is not something that is regular on construction sites where I live, so I was curious in addition to did some research. I discovered that women make up less than 1% of the roofing industry. I was shocked to see that the number was so low, but I also found that 9% of women are roofing companys. It’s superb to have representation in the roofing industry in addition to there are support groups for women who are interested in pursuing a job in roofing.
