We had to get the heating fixed before winter
Earlier this year, we had to get our heating system fixed.
We had been putting it off because we didn’t have enough money saved to actually do it.
We knew that it had to be done though, and so we started up a little savings account for it. We actually thought we might save up enough money to completely replace our heating system altogether. But of course, that didn’t happen. It’s always something we own a house. One thing or another is always going wrong. You have to have an emergency fund set aside to keep things moving and going in the right direction. Otherwise, your house will end up falling down around you. At least that is the experience that we have had with ours over the past several years. Anyway, we knew that we were going to have to get our heating system fixed because we have really terrible winters around here and there was no way that we were going to be able to survive the winter without a working furnace. We finally gave up and called the HVAC company so that they could come out and fix the furnace for us. It was a really expensive repair, though. We spent every last penny that was in our reaper fund, and then some. We actually ended up having to put part of the payment on a credit card but at least it’s done now. I’m just happy that we aren’t having any trouble with it now. It seems like the heating system is finally working correctly now.
