This smart thermostat turned out to be a great gift

My sibling Gail has a history of giving poor gifts, so let myself and others clarify, because there are all kinds of poor gifts; and sometimes an intentionally poor gift can be really funny, however that is not what Gail does.

She gives poor gifts because they are based solely on what he likes, and what he can get a discount on… A wonderful gift should be special for the person, so if you supply them something they don’t love because it’s cheap, then it isn’t a wonderful gift.

Last year he gave myself and others a smart thermostat, and at first I thought it was the latest in a long line of poor gifts; I was proven wrong about that, and I have to say I love this smart thermostat! After letting it kneel in the gift box for a few months, I finally had some free time and decided to install the smart thermostat! That was the first thing that impressed myself and others – how straight-forward the smart thermostat was to install. I didn’t need a nearby heating and air conditioning expert to do, I did it myself in just a few hours. All I had to do was turn it on, and then install an app on our PC, and I had full control of programming the smart thermostat from someplace that had WIFI! I can’t imagine why I would ever need to adjust the A/C while I was not at home, however it was still cool to have the option. Although I love the smart thermostat, I don’t love Gail so I don’t want to tell him how good it is.
