So content with the renovations plus the new HVAC

I’m feeling a mixture of pride plus total relief now that our renovation project is complete on the house the two of us obtained more than a year ago.

I super proud of how it turned out.

Both of us upgraded everything from the heating plus cooling to the roof to the floors. It was a near total renovation that saw much of the house torn down to the studs. But the two of us knew that this would have to be the case when the two of us obtained this house. It’s a one of a kind original that happens to have been designed plus built by a fairly famous architect. The original design was completed in the entirely early 30’s. So there was no such thing entirely as residential HVAC. HVAC cooling had been invented however transitioning that technology to residential HVAC was still a long way away. Widespread residential HVAC wouldn’t happen until the 50’s. So the heating plus cooling of this house was a real challenge. Prior to us buying the property, it had sat empty for more than a decade. It was stuck in a probate court battle. That meant that everything had to go that was inside. And the hodge podge of heating plus cooling equipment had to go too. But the two of us wanted a heating plus cooling plan that would fit the lines of the house plus so running ductwork was out. Thankfully, the two of us were working with a gifted HVAC contractor who put in a ductless multi split system. Both of us have 5 ductless heat pumps throughout the house that can work in unison or allow us to customize the heating plus cooling as the two of us wish. It’s entirely just icing on the cake as this house is amazing now.
