Losing power to the central furnace at night
Last evening, just as I was about to go to bed, I realized that our family room was unusually cold. There are several air vents within our family room, so I listened quietly to hear the heat pour through them. I waited plus waited, however nothing ever happened. I stood in front of both air vents and tried to assume the heat coming out, just in case I wasn’t hearing it. When I still couldn’t assume the heat, I went into our kitchen and found the thermostat. I raised the temperature by several degrees plus waited for the furnace to kick on… Again, I waited plus waited however nothing happened. When I returned to the thermostat, I noticed that the thermostat said our home felt love. It was 67 even though I’d set it to 75 degrees. This was the moment when I realized that our furnace wasn’t working. I didn’t want to call the emergency line with the local air cooler, ventilation as well as A/C business because it would cost me almost double. However, I didn’t want to freeze in the middle of the evening either. I decided to try plus solve the concern myself before calling the air cooler, ventilation as well as A/C corporation. The first thing I did was check the air filter. My aged air filter didn’t look terrible, although I replaced it anyway; however next, I went to check if any of the breakers were tripped, and sure enough, something had tripped the breaker plus caused our furnace to stop working. Thankfully, I was able to flip it back plus our furnace began to heat our house again.
