On Wednesdays & Sunday nights, I give pizzas for a local Italian steakhouse.
I’ve been picking up extra shifts at the steakhouse to pay for repairs on our car.
The repairs are not serious, so I can still drive from the steakhouse to make deliveries! Last Wednesday night I was laboring the late shift. A call came into the store & the owner of an HVAC maintenance supplier ordered 20 large pizzas. It was a large order, so the employer called the HVAC maintenance supplier to double-check that the order was real. The owner of the supplier explained that all of the repairmen were laboring late in the shop. He was rewarding their strenuous toil with free pizza. My boss & I started making all of the pizzas. Half of them were just cheese, but the other half had random toppings like onions, bell peppers, ham, & pepperoni. I stuffed all 10 pieces into the trunk of our motorcar & drove over to the address of the HVAC maintenance supplier. The owner was waiting outside when I arrived. He helped myself and others carry the boxes into the shop. Every a single of the maintenance servicemans looked like they were in a superb mood, and none of them were drinking beers. The owner of the HVAC maintenance supplier tipped myself and others deep but. That is absolutely the largest tip that I have ever received, especially from the owner of a business. The guy was super nice too. A couple more deliveries like that & it will not take long to save the currency of the motorcar repairs.
