Long wait
Don’t you hate it when you are calling a company and get thrown on hold forever? This is what happened the last time I had to call my local heating and air conditioning provider to get some HVAC home services.
My central heating and cooling system had broken down and I was in trouble! It was a very hot day of over one hundred degrees and I really needed my air conditioning back up and running that very same day if possible.
The hold time I was on the phone was ridiculous! I was on hold for over an hour! I was darn lucky that I had a portable air conditioning system in my home so I could plug it in and keep cool while I waited to get emergency HVAC home services. Finally after a little over an hour, they got to my call. I almost yelled at them, but I took into consideration that they were most likely very busy. With the heat being as bad as it was, I am sure everyone’s central heating and air conditioning systems were working overtime causing many HVAC break downs across the entire city. I was able to get one of their most certified heating and cooling specialists out to my house to repair my central heating and air conditioning system the same day. Although I had a portable air conditioning system, it was so hot, that the portable a/c would not have done me good for a long period of time and I would have ended up having to go to a hotel. That would have been horrible for me.
