The kids had blocked the air vent with the chair
Last summer, my sister was coming to town to spend some time with my family.
She was bringing her son, who I loved so much, and my kids were so excited.
We went to pick them up at the airport, and everyone was staring as the kids screamed while running to embrace. We drove home quite excited as we talked about everything we were planning to do during the two-week vacation. We live near the beach, so that was definitely on the itinerary. The kids went straight upstairs once we got home to get changed and head to the pool. My sister was happy to be out of the heat and spend some time enjoying the cooling system. We had nothing planned for the afternoon, so I let her enjoy the cooling system and sleep a bit as we went out back to swim. That evening, we had dinner as the air conditioner kept everyone comfortable and went to sleep. At about midnight, my son knocked on my door and told me something was wrong with the cooling system in their room. The space was so hot since she was covered in sweat. I found my niece and nephew also speaking with their mom about the hot room. Since all other parts of the house were cool, we knew the issue was in their room. My sister and I went inside to check the air vent and found the kids had blocked it with a chair. That was the reason cool air wasn’t flowing into the room. We cautioned the kids against blocking the vent as cool air filled the space.
