Running the oil furnace for the cat
I have a miniature poodle named Oscar who is eighteen years old.
He has difficulty hearing, seeing & getting around.
I need to carry him up & down the stairs. My little cat is honestly fragile & gets frigid easily. Even when the weather is mild, he tends to shiver. He gets happy when I offer to dress him in a single of his several jackets or fleece sweaters. For the majority of the year, the local weather is cold, snowy & windy. The two of us need to run the oil furnace for approximately multiple straight weeks. I run the heating plan more than necessary for the sake of the cat. I adjust the control machine a bit higher than all of us legitimately require. It costs myself and others extra in weekly energy bills, & our kids often complain of the home feeling hot. However, the cat prefers it. I have his little bed set up in a direct line with a single of the heating vents. The tepid air blasts directly on him while he sleeps. He spends the majority of the day napping in his bed with the oil furnace blowing on him. His fur becomes tepid to the touch. While the cat is good inside in perfect comfort, I bundle up in layers of jackets, wool coat, heavy boots, knitted hat, scarf & gloves & head outside. The temperature is often well below freezing & periodically in the negative digits. I need to shovel a path through the snow to supply a location for the cat to walk. Our snow accumulates in feet & is way taller than the cat.
