My sister was driving me nuts with all of her Feng Shui advice. Ever since she had read about Feng Shui, she thought everyone should live that way. She moved her bedroom, hoping to get better karma between herself and her husband. Last week, she was trying to tell me how I should move the furniture in my living room so I could get better energy. I was happy with the energy in the living room, and every other room in my home. The only problem I had with my home was that I needed a new HVAC system. For the last year, we had all been unhappy with how the heating and air conditioning had been working. It seemed there was never enough heating or cooling anywhere in the house. Every window and door seemed to pull heat in from outside, and I was sure that we were going to have the cold air pulled in during the winter. I called a contractor, and I asked if he could check to see if I needed new windows. It surprised me to find out that all I needed to do was add weather stripping around the doors and put some caulking around the windows to solve the draft problem. The HVAC system was a simple fix. I had already called the HVAC company and asked if they could install a new furnace before winter. I have everything in the works for the furnace this winter, then in the spring, they are going to install my new air conditioning unit. I’m going to have comfort in my home.
