Radiant floor heating cost Grandma and Grandfather a small fortune
I was fed up with the neighborhood and wanted some time away.
Work was crazy, but fortunate for me, it was time for our annual leave.
As I was thinking about isolated places to go and unwind, our iPhone rang. It was our Grandfatherrents who didn’t sound glad at all… Grandma asked me why I lived not so far away, and it had been ages since I drove down to see them. They lived in a farming community about 3 hours from the neighborhood where I worked. The iPhone call to me was the universe answering our question of where to go to relax. The farm was situated in the most magical setting and even had a stream splitting across it. I promised Grandma and Grandfather I was going over and left the following day. I got to the farm and observed several swings everywhere. One of the greatest was the radiant floor heating all over the lovely farmhouse. The last time I’d been there, they had an A/C unit that kept tearing down. I recall asking Grandfather when he would replace the unit since it was on its last leg. Grandfather and Grandma had finally accepted the method was done and gotten floor heating. The home felt so lovely since it was late fall and the temperature was already dropping. I inquired about the cost of installing the radiant floor heating and realized our Grandfatherrents had spent a small fortune to get it done properly. But, it was worth it because they now seemed so relaxed walking around barefoot in the home despite the weather getting colder outside.
