My neighbor and I head over to sales and auctions and hope to get blessed. It’s extremely fun and exciting and we make money on occasion. There are auctions in our town every Monday, Thursday, and Saturday. We don’t often find the best deals, however we certainly make our money back from the auction price. We have a few friends who were able to find a diamond ring valued over $60,000. We never actually found anything quite like that, however we constantly are excited to see what’s available and under the tarp and inside the boxes. Just this last year, we were able to locate a box of rare coins that ended up with a pretty nice value. My neighbor and I bought a pretty nice company truck with the windfall. That was entirely our largest ticket item and our most fancy find. Recently, we were able to locate a storage unit that had a lot of refrigeration equipment. My neighbor and I did not even know what the items were, however we took them to a pawn shop. They identified the equipment as Heating, Ventilation as well as A/C machine tools. They actually knew some people who would be interested in the refrigeration equipment. The pawn shop asked us to leave the items with them for consignment. My neighbor and I were absolutely amazed to find out that the items were refrigeration equipment and Heating, Ventilation as well as A/C machine tools. They did not appear to be standard and that is due to the fact that they were actually antiques. We made approximately $600 on the sale and the equipment went to a guy who owns a Heating, Ventilation as well as A/C machine company and collects outdated items that are related to the trade.
