A hard HVAC decision
Tough decisions are definitely not my forte. I’m more the sort who tends to overthink, weigh every aspect and then still want to know what someone else thinks. So it goes with all manner of things in my life from automobile buying to replacing the HVAC unit in my home. I just have the worst time simply pulling the trigger on a decision. So, when the HVAC professional came to the door to tell me that our HVAC component was on its last legs, I felt a drop of sweat roll down my back. I really tried to pigeonhole the heating and A/C guy with all manner of questions. Like, how long will it really last? Is there an HVAC repair that will help it run better and for longer? How much will it cost to get the heating and A/C updated? To his credit, the HVAC professional did his best to explain that he was just telling me to prepare. He also left me the card of the HVAC supply store at their office. I put the card on the fridge and started my normal routine of not making a decision. This went on for more than a month when I had to call the heating and A/C people again to come out for another repair. This time the HVAC professional told me that time was short and I needed to make the call to the HVAC supply store in their office. So I did. And, it was far easier and way less painful that I thought it could ever be. The HVAC salesman helped me find a better model that fit the budget and our heating & cooling needs in a matter of just a few days. Thanks to him, the decisions were quite easy to make for once.
