Creating a heating and a/c business
I have always known for day one that I was meant to run my own business.
- I never did care for the idea of working for someone else when if I did it right I could be my own boss.
It was a dream I had for a long time, but at some point I realized that if I wanted it bad enough then I would need to stop dreaming and make it happen. So that’s exactly what I did. I wanted to start my own heating and cooling company to compete with the current HVAC companies in my town. All the HVAC suppliers in my town charged outrageous prices for the most basic of heating and cooling services, such as heater and a/c repair and installation. I heard the story of a woman that lived nearby that spent thousands of dollars on HVAC upgrades, between having air purifiers placed in her home, a simple air duct cleaning alone cost her several hundreds of dollars. I had saved up a lot of money and used that money to invest in my new business. But I couldn’t do it by myself, I didn’t know everything about heaters and air conditioners. So I got the help of a friend of mine who used to work for a large heating and cooling corporation. He mentored me and really helped me get to where I am today. I was lucky and my new business in providing parts, repairs, and installations for all heaters and cooling units really took off. It was the best decision of my life, and I was able to help my community at the same time.
