It’s been such an exciting journey since I started laboring. Many people find it odd that I get enthusiastic about going to work. But, I know you have to know my story to understand why it’s such a big deal. In school, I was rebellious and fell in with the wrong crowd. We’d skip school, do crazy things, and my fantastic friend and I also began using drugs. It wasn’t long until I was addicted and got into all sorts of mischief. My mom did her best to help, but I got worse. One time, I tried to cut into this shop to raid the register and got caught. Since I was only 17, I went to a juvenile detention center. I felt so low, however this was also a cut and I managed to get sober. Mom came in to visit one time and said he was giving me one chance to get my life in order or he never wanted to see me again. That was my wake up call, and a year and a half later, I went back to finish school. After graduating, I opted to go to trade school and train to become a HVAC specialist. There was a counselor at the juvenile detention center that helped me learn about the odd trades since I wasn’t interested in school. Working in heating and cooling sounded awesome, so I opted to go to a trade school near home. I’d labor at the local shops in the evening and go to labor during the day to help mom cover the costs of school. After I got my HVAC certification, I got an apprenticeship with a local business. I have been in training to become a specialist. I’m grateful to go to work each day.

The news was exciting, and nothing to term as an emergency. So, I put my phone aside and waited for him to call me back. I love how romantic Ryan is about his work, and the way he treats his clients. He constantly says heating and cooling is pressing, especially in our area. So, it’s essential to deliver clients the best service. Are the prices of everything going up? To be honest, it’s difficult to keep up. For instance, my partner and I could buy a lot with $1,000 a few years ago. Most of the items were enough to last the entire month. But, now we find ourselves returning to the shops often to add more items. The same applies to fresh foods, and even things like fuel. Everyone keeps saying we are on the verge of a recession, and all the signs are there. We hope that things get better, however my fantastic friend and I aren’t holding our breath. The best thing to do has been to split our spending budget, then now, my fantastic friend and I are even forgoing eating out and ordering meals. Instead, we meal-prep at home and strive to stick to a budget each week. The other day, we were doing our yearly budget and noted we are spending so much to cool our home. Each summer, the bill got higher and higher – twice as high one time during a severe heat wave. That prompted us to find ways to keep our house cool without needing to run the AC the entire time. An acquaintance sent us an article from a HVAC blog with tips on how to lower your cooling costs. We found most of the suggestions to be practical, and chose to implement some. First, we’d have the air conditioning running less when we were at work. We got heavier drapes to keep the sun out, and the house cool. We also had an expert come do a tune up to ensure the component was laboring efficiently. So far, so good.

Oliver was so kind to my son and I when we moved into the house next door. I had just bought the house, and knew little about the area. However, I enjoyed how calm it was and not too far from my kid’s school. Oliver knocked at my door as I was busy opening boxes to unpack with my son. He went to answer it and there was this older looking man with some lemons in a bowl. He explained he has a lemon tree in his backyard, and too many lemons. So, Oliver constantly shares them with his neighbors. It was so kind of him to bring us lemons, so I asked him to come inside and have some iced tea. After an hour, Oliver left and we resumed unpacking with my son. A few afternoons later, I was leaving for labor and I saw Oliver seated at his front porch enjoying the day and some coffee. I went over, said hello, and told him if he ever had any HVAC issues, he could call me directly. Then, I handed Oliver my business card showing that I’m a certified HVAC technician. Oliver thanked me and said he did have some questions about ductless systems. However, since I was heading to work, we’d talk in the evening when I was back. He mentioned he wanted a ductless system for his tool shed where he spent time tinkering with his outdated car. Drew is a nice old man who lives in our area.

He constantly comes out when it’s nice outside.

He says hello to everyone. We met Drew when we were new to the area, when he dropped some greens from his trees by our door. We were busy unpacking and heard a knock at the door. My partner went to open it, and saw this nice man smiling up at him. My partner is six feet tall, so Drew looked up to say hello. Then, I joined him at the door, and we asked Drew to come in. He gave us the greens, and my fantastic friend and I got some juice from the fridge to serve him. The house was a mess, and the adolescents were running around. Drew didn’t mind. After introductions, he told us a bit about himself and provided some advice about the area, then he left! From that day, he constantly comes over to say hello, and my fantastic friend and I make sure to visit him when my fantastic friend and I can. The other day, I was on my way to labor and wanted to drop some cookies for Drew. When I arrived at his driveway, I saw an HVAC van there, and wondered if he was having an issue with his cooling system. It’s summer, and everyone was using their cooling systems to stay cool. I knocked on his door and Drew came to answer. He acquired the cookies and explained he wanted the expert to help change his air filters. Drew used to change the air filters himself, however now he lets the expert handle that, since he is getting older.

June is looking forward to moving away from the city.

For now, she has to bear with the craziness for a while longer.

When June was younger, she constantly longed to move to the city, and she grew up in a small village near the sea, and life was good. However, there wasn’t much to do in this seaside location. The only time June was cheerful was during summer when the section was awash with tourists seeking escape and relaxation. June would constantly wonder why they wanted to be there while the cities were so excited. She opted to attend school in one such city, and that became his current home, however once in a while, June would return to see his folks. But not that often. That was a decade ago, and he is now ready to leave the city he once longed for; During the pandemic, June was tired, isolated, and scared. She longed for his family, however they were too far away. Since he had time to think, June began contemplating relocating to the small town where he grew up, and he will do so next year. The plan is to service up his house, including replacing the HVAC system. After that, she’d relocate, and find a fantastic house to buy in the section with a reliable system. June wanted to replace the HVAC system in his current house because he was distraught about it overheating. The last time it failed, this was the explanation the HVAC expert had given her. Andy and I have been together for three years. When we met, he had just graduated and was looking for work. Since he was a teen, Andy enjoyed performing music. His passion for the guitar is obvious from the moment he hits the stage. However, he decided to continue his education; that way, he could work during the day, and perform music after work. Andy teetered between becoming a plumber and an HVAC tech. According to the stories he shared about his life when we started dating, he chose the HVAC world and began his training to become a technician. He would still play rock n roll in the evening while attending classes during the day. Eventually, Andy graduated, and his certification ensured he could begin work. We met at a local club where he was performing. He asked me to join him for a late meal. I agreed. Soon, we fell in love. About three months after we met, he got a reply from one of the companies about an apprentice position. It’s now been three years. Andy is thriving as a HVAC technician. He also still plays rock n roll after work, and during the holidays. I continue to learn more about balance from him. I think this is why he is content.

It has consistently been this way, as well as it’s the funniest thing to watch. I think dad just enjoys saying no so he can watch mom turn romantic about some random thing. She knew she wouldn’t manage to keep such a secret. But, as she mentioned, she’d have to finish work at the office before she could go.
