Jerome was having quite a hard time imagining he was moving so far away from everything and everyone he knew.
The new promotion had come as a surprise and was so lucrative.
However, it meant moving miles and miles away from his hometown. Jerome’s uncle and aunt were so happy for him and kept encouraging him. They’d raised Jerome and his sister ever since they were young. This was the first time one of them was far from the rest of the family. Jerome managed to find a lovely home in a quiet area in the new city. It was a fantastic property with a backyard where his nieces would spend some time in summer. The house came with an air conditioner. The previous owner told Jerome the AC unit was good. But Jerome’s uncle asked him to have the AC checked out. Jerome went online and found an HVAC company near the area. He got the contact information, called, and asked if they’d send over an AC expert to take a look at his system. An AC expert pulled up in his driveway an hour later and went ahead to inspect the system. He was so professional and even gave Jerome some advice on how to use the AC unit in the new environment. Jerome was delighted with the professional service and opted to get a maintenance and repair plan with the HVAC company after the inspection. The AC expert informed Jerome that the system could work, but it wouldn’t last more than two years. It was up to Jerome to replace it immediately or wait a little longer to do so.
